What is occupancy percentage?

Occupancy percentage is a percentage calculated by dividing the total number of rooms occupied by the total number of rooms available.

Example

If a hotel has 100 rooms and only 80 rooms are currently occupied, the hotel has a current occupancy rate of 80%.
